The LGW, which has general consultative status at the ECOSOC, presents its recommendations for the event, based on its experience of more than 60 years. Find out more about the work of the LBV at the UN.

In fact, the subject of the meeting was widely discussed in March during the 9th Multi-stakeholder Forum of the Solidary Society Network (9th MFSSN)—6th Innovation Fair, promoted by the LGW in several cities of Brazil, aside from Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Portugal and the United States, with the participation of different segments, such as civil society organizations, government bodies and representatives from the academia and several companies. The multi-stakeholder meetings had the support from the United Nations Information Center for Brazil (UNIC-Rio), from the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN/DESA), and from other UN agencies and funds in Latin America. At the ECOSOC High-Level Segment 2012, the LGW presents the results obtained from the 9th MFSSN, like the proposals and recommendations of the participants (identified from their own practical experience), and mainly an innovative social technology, as experienced by the Legion of Good Will.
